Train Ops

Train Ops is an open sandbox railroad game focused on laying track and operating with friends. Play on your own or invite friends to help run locals, manifest frieghts, passenger service, yard work, and more. Grow your railroad operations by completing contracts ordered my industries both on and off your railroad.

Train Ops is currently in development and in the prototyping phase. A release date is not yet available.

Progression and Contracts

Start your railroad operations with a classic switcher locomotive and work some local industries to gain experience. As you deliver cargo you will earn Delivery Points which you can redeem to advance and unlock more rolling stock, engines, and industries.

Locomotives & Rolling Stock

Set in a modern diesel era, you will have access to yard mule switchers, mighty road workhorses, passenger trains, and all the modern rolling stock you can imagine. You and your friends will be able to manually couple and uncouple cars to set out your cuts in the yard or spot your cars at local industries. You can send your manifest freight across the map and have another operator grab the throttle to bring it in to town.
